Skinny Lager reshapes the beer market

Skinny Lager: a premium vegan-friendly beer that’s lower calorie and kind to your tummy as well as to animals

Want a beer with fewer calories and an even greater taste?

Yes, it’s possible to be kind to yourself even when you fancy a drink up — welcome to Skinny Lager.

Born from increasing consumer demand for healthier options, the company behind the beer, SkinnyBrands (skinnybrands.com), refused to compromise and created something truly cutting edge.

A clean, crisp and refreshingly malty premium lager that's full flavour, 4% ABV, and only 89 calories, whilst also being vegan, gluten-free and kosher.

It’s called ‘skinny’ because it has about 35% fewer calories than other premium lagers on the market and, on average, roughly 72% fewer carbs.

Let’s just say your tummy will thank you for it in the morning — and it tastes great, as the beer reduces calories, not ABV.

It has plenty of well-known admirers too, from X-Factor judge Simon Cowell to English rugby legend Mike Tindall, among other celebrities.

“Just like you’d order a ‘skinny latte’,” the company says, “we’re now giving consumers the opportunity to order a ‘skinny lager’.”

The premium lager has grown in popularity with the ever-increasing demand from consumers seeking dietary alternatives to their favourite drinks and foods.

A reported 78% of 18-35-year-olds are making calorie-conscious decisions in 2020 when drinking alcohol, a figure that is up 22% from 2018.

Skinny Lager has answered that demand with its fully vegan-certified premium lager.

Available online, and in Asda, Tesco and Morrisons stores nationwide, it’s now the most reviewed lager across the beer category on Amazon UK.

Skinny Brands cheers

The kindly company has even stepped up for students during the pandemic, offering free crates of booze delivered to halls of residence for those stuck in quarantine.

The coronavirus outbreak has meant that many students have been confined to their rooms for extended periods, including during Fresher’s Week.

In an Instagram post, the company captioned a photo of its beers:

“Calling all Uni students on lockdown Skinny Lager would like to send you a case of Skinny to keep you going whilst you isolate, stay safe and #drinkresponsibly.”

Brewed in Hartlepool, in northern England, Skinny Lager is made with four simple ingredients: water, malted barley, hops and carbon dioxide.

A special brewing process allows the residual sugars to be extracted to create the low-calorie and flavourful product.

SkinnyBrands Premium Lager is seeing tremendous interest in its lower calorie beer, just as demand for low and no alcohol products is also on the rise.

As well as being kind to your tummy, the beer is also kind to animals: it’s ‘Certified Vegan-Friendly’ by the Vegan Society, unlike many other lagers that utilise animal by-products in their finings such as isinglass or gelatine.

Instead, SkinnyBrands Premium Lager uses other filtration methods to maintain the clarity of its liquid.

Cheers to that.
