Cancel all plans and head to Tesco immediately – there’s a new vegan range!
The affordable, own-brand collection called Plant Chef, has a variety of easy-to-prepare meals based on traditional family favourites.
With everything from a plant-based goujons, to doughy mushroom pizzas – it’s the vegan range we’ve been craving!
It’s hoped the new products will give customers wanting to reduce their meat intake more choice.
So, what’s on offer?
Butternut Cauli Mac, £2.50 Macaroni pasta coated in a sauce with cauliflower florets and diced butternut squash
Battered Fish-Free Fillets, £3
Made from seasoned soya and coated in a crispy, tempura batter
Bangers & Mash, £2.50 Cumberland style bangers paired with a rich onion and sale sauce, pan fried onion, garlic puree with tomato paste and a splash of Worcester sauce. Sided with a cooked smooth oat-based potato mash
And, more products will be added to the range on October 14th.
In fact, the new launches mean that Tesco will now have one of the biggest selections of plant-based foods on the UK high street.
In addition, Tesco is adding dedicated plant-based zones in stores across the country, too.
If that wasn’t enough, the Wicked Kitchen range that’s exclusive to the supermarket is also expanding.
The line created with Derek Sarno will include BBQ-infused swede steaks and a sticky toffee pudding.
Vegan food is a huge part of Tesco’s commitment to making its food more sustainable.
